CAICT issued the first evaluation certificate of the DDS protocol for vehicles to BAIC

In 2025, the CTTL Terminal Labs of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) issued the TLC certificate center to the automotive DDS protocol stack "BAIC DDS (V1.0)" of BAIC Automotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "BAIC"). After evaluation, BAIC DDS (V1.0) successfully passed the test and met the requirements of automotive DDS communication. As a result, BAIC has become the first institute to pass the DDS test for intelligent networked vehicles in the CTTL Terminal Labs and obtain the evaluation certificate.

The standard T/CSAE 371-2024 "Data Distribution Service (DDS) Test Method for Intelligent Connected Vehicles" is based on the protocol conformance part of the test, which was proposed by the China Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Innovation Alliance (CAICV) Electronic and Electrical Information Architecture and Network (EEiN) Working Group, led by the CAICT, and compiled by a total of 16 member units including Great Wall Motor, FAW Group, Geely Automobile, Changan Automobile, BAIC Research Institute, and Chery Automobile. The test items such as protocol consistency, protocol functions (including QoS) and safety functions of automotive DDS are comprehensively standardized. This standard is the first automotive DDS test standard at home and abroad.

The test tool adopts the iCV DDS Tester independently developed by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

As a communication middleware, DDS carries applications upwards and connects the communication protocol stack downwards, which plays a key role in the functions and performance of in-vehicle device software. Due to its special location, it has the characteristics of changeable application scenarios and is not easy to test. If the product is not fully tested and validated during the product development process, its potential problems may be exposed later in the system integration, resulting in high error correction costs.

CTTL Terminal Labs gives full play to its years of experience in the field of communication, leads by standard innovation, and can provide customers with comprehensive and high-quality automotive DDS testing services through advanced self-developed testing tools.

As an authoritative testing institution in China, CTTL Terminal Labs actively leads the industry's emerging technology standards and testing, serves the field of new energy vehicles, provides more professional, scientific and fair third-party testing and evaluation services for car companies and suppliers, and helps the high-quality development of new energy vehicles in our country.
