Recently, the Beidou Application Conference and the 13th Annual Conference of China Satellite Navigation and Location Services were held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and the conference announced and commended the winners of the 2024 Satellite Navigation and Positioning Science and Technology Award. The project "Construction and Large-scale Application of Beidou Innovation Leading System of Information and Communication Terminals" led by the CTTL Terminal Labs (CTTL-T) of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as "CAICT") won the platinum award of "Satellite Navigation and Positioning Innovation Application Award", which is the highest level of award in this category.

With the theme of "Promoting the Large-scale Application of Beidou and Empowering the New Quality Development of the Industry", Sheng Yuechun, Deputy Secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and Wu Haiyang, Chief Planner of the Ministry of Natural Resources, attended the opening ceremony and delivered welcome speeches. Liu Jingnan, Yang Yuanxi, Li Jiancheng, Wei Ziqing, Xia Jun, Gong Jianya, Chen Jun and other academicians and experts attended the conference. Dr. Zhang Qinjuan, the project leader, attended the award ceremony and received the award on behalf of the CAICT.

Satellite Navigation and Positioning Science and Technology Award is a national social force science and technology award approved and registered by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, and is the only science and technology award in the field of satellite navigation technology in China. It aims to carry out the identification and promotion of scientific and technological achievements in the field of satellite navigation, stimulate the enthusiasm of scientific and technological personnel for technological innovation, promote the progress of Beidou technology and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. A total of 20 projects won this year's Innovation Application Award, including 3 platinum awards, 6 gold awards and 11 silver awards.

In the future, the CTTL-T will continue to give full play to the advantages of the platform, make comprehensive breakthroughs in the direction of Beidou standard system guidance for information and communication products, support for testing and certification system, and traction of innovative applications, and accelerate the large-scale application of Beidou in the field of information and communication.
