CTTL-T obtained Wi-Fi 7 certification authorization from the Wi-Fi Alliance

Recently, the CTTL Terminal Labs (CTTL-T, hereinafter referred to as the "Laboratory") of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) successfully obtained the Wi-Fi Alliance Wi-Fi 7 certification authorization, marking a breakthrough in the field of wireless communication technology testing and further improving the comprehensive strength of the laboratory.

Wi-Fi 7 is the latest generation of wireless LAN communication technology based on IEEE 802.11be Extremely High Throughput (EHT), which enhances Wi-Fi performance in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, providing high-throughput, low-latency, and higher-reliability Wi-Fi connectivity for home, enterprise, and industrial scenarios. The Wi-Fi Alliance's Wi-Fi 7 certification, officially launched in 2024, will help drive interoperability between devices around the world, build a more robust device ecosystem, and deliver unprecedented Wi-Fi performance experiences, leading users into a new era of Internet of Everything. Currently, Wi-Fi 7 will provide certification for four device categories: regular APs, STAs, Mobile APs, and 20 MHz only STAs.

Wi-Fi 7 certification

As a leading communication technology research institution in China, the laboratory has been committed to the research and innovation of wireless communication technology. The Wi-Fi 7 certification of the laboratory means that its technical strength and research results have been recognized, and it will strive to play a more active role in the research, testing, and promotion of Wi-Fi 7 standards in the future.

In addition to Wi-Fi Alliance certification, the laboratory can also provide enterprises with international certification services such as European CE, US FCC, and Japanese Radio Law for Wi-Fi 7 products, helping the entire industry to move towards a more efficient and reliable wireless network future.
