In recent years, China's automotive industry has shown explosive growth, and its production and sales have ranked first in the world for many years, and its market share has continued to increase. Remarkable achievements have been made in technological innovation, market scale, and industrial chain construction. With the advancement of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Chinese automotive companies are actively seeking new opportunities in overseas markets, and from January to May 2024, the cumulative value of China's exports of automotive goods to "Belt and Road" countries reached 51.32 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%. Russia, as an important potential market for Chinese automakers, is full of challenges and opportunities, and the ERA-GLONASS certification is a necessary condition for entering this market.

ERA-GLONASS certification: the key to the Russian market

ERA-GLONASS certification is a necessary condition for Chinese automotive industry to enter the Russian market, which is related to the safety performance of the vehicle and is essential to ensure the safety of passengersERA-GLONASS is an automatic emergency call system, which can automatically or manually trigger an emergency call when the vehicle has an emergency, so as to quickly obtain rescue and reduce casualtiesThe function of the system is similar to the GPS of the United States, the Galileo satellite positioning system of Europe and the Beidou satellite navigation system of China, and can provide emergency calls, fault calls, information inquiries, remote diagnosis, anti-theft and other remote information services, greatly improving the response efficiency in emergency situations and reducing the casualty rate in the event of an accidentAccording to statistics, the ERA-GLONASS system can save more than half of the rescue response time and save more than 2,000 lives every year.

Audio testing under GOST 33468: the hardest bone to gnaw for ERA-GLONASS certification

Since 2017, all vehicles sold in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) must be equipped with the ERA-GLONASS emergency call system and be certified accordingly. The test content includes but is not limited to crash test, communication performance test and electrical system stability test to ensure that the system can work normally under various extreme conditionsBecause the interior environment, T-box supporting equipment, system software, etc. will affect the acoustic performance of the in-vehicle equipment, and the audio test results are often quite different under different vehicles, the audio quality requirements for the ERA-GLONASS system specified in the GOST 33468 standard have become the longest and most difficult to pass the certification. Vehicles tested in the laboratory for ERA-GLONASS

In 2017, the CTTL Terminal Labs became the first laboratory in China to obtain the official authorization qualification of ERA-GLONASS, and completed the first ERA-GLONASS vehicle certification test project in China, which greatly simplified the testing process between Chinese enterprises and customs union countries and reduced costs.

At present, the ERA-GLONASS audio certification test has been completed for a number of engineering vehicles, commercial vehicles and passenger cars of many enterprises, helping enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency. In the future, with the in-depth implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the rapid development of the intelligent networked automotive industry, the laboratory will continue to give full play to its own advantages and contribute more to the international development of car companies.
