In recent years, with the development of navigation and positioning technology, 5G, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and other technologies, wearable devices such as smart watches have ushered in a period of rapid development. In August 2024, the CTTL Terminal Labs of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and the TLC jointly certified the first batch of "excellent" certification certificates for the positioning performance of Huawei smart watches HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Pro 46 mm and HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 46 mm.
Smart watch is a wearable device with built-in intelligent system, positioning is its basic function, but also an important basis for realizing interactive communication, sports management and other application functions, the accuracy of positioning performance has become an important parameter to measure the quality of smart watches. The test content is divided into laboratory satellite simulator test and field test, covering the open scene, unilateral occlusion scene and urban canyon scene commonly used by users, and designing test cases for functions such as positioning accuracy, positioning delay, mileage accuracy and speed measurement accuracy that users focus on, and conducting all-round testing and evaluation of the positioning performance of smart watches in outdoor sports modes such as running, cycling, and walking.
follow-up, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) will continue to promote the certification and testing of smart bracelets and wearable devices, provide strong support for the development of the satellite navigation industry and the promotion of quality brands, and help improve the quality of equipment with high-end quality testing, so that more users can benefit from the development of high-precision navigation and positioning technology.
