In April 2026, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security jointly issued the "Measures for the Administration of Cybersecurity Labels." In June of the same year, the "Product Catalog for Implementing Cybersecurity Labels (First Batch)" and the "Implementation Rules for Cybersecurity Labels of Consumer Networked Cameras" were released successively, making consumer networked cameras among the first batch of products to implement cybersecurity label management.
On September 10, 2026, the CTTL Terminal Labs (CTTL-T) of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) assisted Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei") in successfully passing the leading cybersecurity assessment for 28 smart camera products. "Cybersecurity Standard Practice Guide—Cybersecurity Identification and Security Requirements for Consumer Connected Cameras" by TC260-PG-20265A, completing the leading cybersecurity capability filing and becoming among the first products to be registered. The relevant registration information has been announced on the Network Security Label Filing Management Platform (http://www.cncsl.cn), and consumers can log in to the platform to check and verify.
On September 14, 2026, the National Cybersecurity Awareness Week opened in Jinan, Shandong Province. At the opening ceremony, the official application of the consumer camera cybersecurity label was announced, and the first batch of products to receive the three-star (leading) cybersecurity label, including 28 smart camera products from Huawei, was unveiled

This empowers enterprises throughout the process to enhance their product cybersecurity capabilities, efficiently supporting products to obtain a three-star cybersecurity label through leading cybersecurity filing.
To date, the CTTL-T has completed cybersecurity assessments for hundreds of IoT products, covering consumer connected cameras, smartphones, handheld terminals, Bluetooth headsets, smart bands, laptops, IoT gateways, smart home controllers, and more. It possesses security testing capabilities such as ETSI EN 303 645, EU EN 18031, and CRA regulations, and holds domestic CCRC IT information security assurance and EAL security testing qualifications, accumulating extensive experience in security technology testing. In the future, Thier Terminal Laboratory will continue to follow policies and standards related to cybersecurity labeling, continuously improve the security testing system, provide enterprises with efficient and professional security assessment and filing support services, help enterprises build a strong security defense line for IoT products, and promote high-quality development of IoT industry security.
