In April 2026, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security jointly issued the "Measures for the Administration of Cybersecurity Labels." In June of the same year, the "Product Catalog for Implementing Cybersecurity Labels (First Batch)" and the "Implementation Rules for Cybersecurity Labels of Consumer Networked Cameras" were released successively, making consumer networked cameras among the first batch of products to implement cybersecurity label management.

On September 10, 2026, the CTTL Terminal Labs (CTTL) of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) successfully assisted Xiaomi Communications Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xiaomi Company") in producing three smart camera products. These products passed the leading-level cybersecurity assessment in the TC260-PG-20265A "Cybersecurity Standard Practice Guide—Network Security Identification and Security Requirements for Consumer Networked Cameras," completing the filing of leading network security capability and becoming one of the first products to be filed. The relevant registration information has been announced on the Network Security Label Filing Management Platform (http://www.cncsl.cn), and consumers can check and verify them by logging into the platform.

On September 14, 2026, the National Cybersecurity Awareness Week opened in Jinan, Shandong Province. At the opening ceremony, the official application of the consumer camera cybersecurity label was announced, and the first batch of products to receive the three-star (leading) cybersecurity label, including three smart camera products from Xiaomi, were unveiled.

As a leading domestic terminal security evaluation organization, CTTL-T leverages its deep technical expertise in network security, data and privacy security to quickly and efficiently complete leading-level cybersecurity testing for three Xiaomi smart camera products, including physical and hardware security, system and software security, network and communication security, data security and personal information protection, and security assurance, further validating that Xiaomi's smart camera products have reached a leading level in network security.

To meet the actual needs of enterprises in the cybersecurity compliance process of consumer connected camera products, the CTTL-T offers one-stop cybersecurity compliance support services, including helping enterprises scientifically plan product testing units to optimize the test matrix, identifying security weak points and providing targeted rectification plans, assisting enterprises in completing filing forms, signing compliance declarations, and organizing and submitting supporting supporting documents. This empowers enterprises throughout the process to enhance their product cybersecurity capabilities, efficiently supporting products to obtain a three-star cybersecurity label through leading cybersecurity filing.

To date, the CTTL-T has completed cybersecurity assessments for hundreds of IoT products, covering consumer connected cameras, smartphones, handheld terminals, Bluetooth headsets, smart bands, laptops, IoT gateways, smart home controllers, and more. It possesses security testing capabilities such as ETSI EN 303 645, EU EN 18031, and CRA regulations, and holds domestic CCRC IT information security assurance and EAL security testing qualifications, accumulating extensive experience in security technology testing. In the future, Thier Terminal Laboratory will continue to follow policies and standards related to cybersecurity labeling, continuously improve the security testing system, provide enterprises with efficient and professional security assessment and filing support services, help enterprises build a strong security defense line for IoT products, and promote high-quality development of IoT industry security.
