Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the list of typical cases of group standard application and promotion in 2024 (Circular [2025] No. 19 of the Bureau of Science and Technology of MIIT), which was compiled by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "CAICT") and jointly issued by the China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) and the China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA) T/CHEAA 0023-2023|T/CCSA 457-2023 "Technical Requirements for Device Data Model and Control Interface of Smart Home Systems" was successfully selected.
Break down data silos and lay a solid foundation for interconnection
As the second dual-numbering standard jointly issued by CCSA and CHEAA, T/CHEAA 0023-2023|T/CCSA 457-2023 "Technical Requirements for Device Data Models and Control Interfaces for Smart Home Systems" focuses on the standardization of data models and control interfaces for smart home devices, and proposes a unified data format definition and interface interaction protocol. This standard solves the collaboration problem caused by inconsistent data analysis between cross-brand and cross-platform devices, and provides a technical foundation for the deep linkage and ecological integration of smart home scenarios.
The selection of the MIIT's 2024 list of typical cases for the application and promotion of group standards is a high recognition of the technical advancement and practicability of the standard. The wide application of this standard will effectively promote the interconnection between smart home devices, improve user experience, and promote the innovative application of smart home scenarios.
In the future, the CAICT will continue to carry out a series of work on standardization formulation, inspection and testing in the field of smart home, and work with industry partners to promote the application of standards and help the smart home industry move towards a higher level of development
