The smart terminal Honor Magic7 series mobile phone has recently obtained the "Excellence Level" certificate for the AI large model capability of mobile intelligent terminals in China Telecom Technology Labs (CTTL). This evaluation is the first project to comprehensively evaluate the capabilities of large models of mobile terminals based on the intelligent terminal industry standard "AI Capability Assessment Method for Mobile Intelligent Terminals". The HONOR Magic7 series of mobile phones (Magic7 Pro and Magic7) is the first product to pass the evaluation of this standard and obtain the Excellence Certificate, in which AI comprehension ability, intent recognition ability, agent ability, and large model service and application ability have been evaluated to reach the level of 4+.

The "AI Capability Assessment Method for Mobile Intelligent Terminals" standard is mainly led by CTTL Terminal Labs of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as "CAICT") in the relevant working group of the elecommunication Terminal Industry Forum Association, and jointly developed by more than 10 key enterprises in the intelligent terminal industry such as Honor, OPPO, Huawei, VIVO, Qualcomm, Meizu, ZTE, Samsung, POTINTECH, Aojie Technology, UNISOC and other intelligent terminal manufacturers, and is suitable for evaluating the capability level of AI large models of intelligent terminals. After several rounds of discussion since the establishment of the standard in April 2024, a consensus was reached at the end of September and the draft was approved for review, which has been submitted for approval and is to be released.

The standard involves the evaluation framework of AI large model capabilities of mobile intelligent terminals as shown in the following figure, and the evaluation dimensions include five major dimensions: device-side large model capabilities, AI understanding capabilities (basic models), intent recognition capabilities, agent capabilities, and large model service and application capabilities, comprehensively evaluating the empowerment and application level of large models of intelligent terminals.

The large model empowers the intelligent terminal industry to accelerate the transformation and development, and the CTTL-Terminal Labs of the CAICT is willing to join hands with terminal industry enterprises to increase in-depth cooperation with all parties from multiple dimensions such as consulting, technology, standards, and evaluation, so as to promote collaborative innovation in the terminal industry.
