In order to implement the requirements of the State Council on accelerating the recycling of electronic products such as mobile phones and tablets. In the early stage, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "CAICT") organized a "Seminar on Mobile Phone Recycling and Information Protection" to study key issues such as information erasure, information security management and data recovery services of mobile phone manufacturers and recycling service providers.

In order to further promote the application of key technological innovations in the recycling of mobile intelligent terminals and strengthen the protection of personal information in the process of mobile phone recycling, the CAICT has launched the compilation of the "Technical requirements for user data clearing capabiity of  mobile intelligent terminals", "Requirements for the Service Management of Mobile Intelligent Terminal Circular Trading Platform" and "Technical requirements for recycling mobile communication terminal data erasure tool" on December 12, 2024 in TAF It has been submitted for approval at the third plenary meeting in 2024.

In the next step, the CAICT will actively promote the implementation of standards and carry out the certification of mobile intelligent terminals, recycling enterprises, and information erasure tools. At the same time, we will continue to give full play to our own technological advantages, work with all parties to promote the recycling of mobile intelligent terminals, and contribute wisdom and strength to the further promotion of the development of circular economy.
