1. The overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In December 2025, mobile phone shipments in the domestic market were 24.473 million units, down 29.1% year-on-year, of which 22.132 million 5G mobile phones were shipped, down 27.3% year-on-year, accounting for 90.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to December 2025, mobile phone shipments in the domestic market will be 307 million units, down 2.4% year-on-year, of which 266 million 5G mobile phones will be shipped, down 1.9% year-on-year, accounting for 86.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In December 2025, 41 new models of domestic mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 28.1%, of which 11 5G mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 37.5%, accounting for 26.8% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to December 2025, 515 new models of domestic mobile phones will be launched, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%, of which 234 5G mobile phones will be launched, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%, accounting for 45.4% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

2. The composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market

In December 2025, domestic brand mobile phone shipments will be 21.24 million units, down 31.0% year-on-year, accounting for 86.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 40 new models were launched by domestic brands, a year-on-year increase of 37.9%, accounting for 97.6% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to December 2025, domestic brand mobile phones were shipped, down 2.5% year-on-year, accounting for 85.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 491 new models were launched by domestic brands, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%, accounting for 95.3% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

3. The development of domestic smartphones

In December 2025, smartphone shipments were 22.865 million units, down 29.4% year-on-year, accounting for 93.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 21 new models of smartphones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%, accounting for 51.2% of the number of new models on the mobile phone market in the same period.

From January to December 2025, smartphone shipments will be 285 million units, down 3.3% year-on-year, accounting for 92.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 330 new models of smartphones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%, accounting for 64.1% of the number of new models launched in the same period.
