First, the overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In February 2024, the domestic market shipped 14.257 million mobile phones, down 32.9% year-on-year, of which 12.532 million 5G mobile phones, down 29.2% year-on-year, accounting for 87.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period. From January to February 2024, the domestic market shipped 46.035 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%, of which 38.697 million 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%, accounting for 84.1% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In February 2024, 21 new models of mobile phones were launched in China, a year-on-year decrease of 25.0%, of which 17 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 54.5%, accounting for 81.0% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to February 2024, 50 new models of domestic mobile phones were listed, a year-on-year increase of 22.0%, of which 26 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 44.4%, accounting for 52.0% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Second, the composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market

In February 2024, 11.842 million domestic brand mobile phones were shipped, down 32.5% year-on-year, accounting for 83.1% of mobile phone shipments in the same period, and 19 new models were launched, down 26.9% year-on-year, accounting for 90.5% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to February 2024, 38.078 million domestic brand mobile phones were shipped, up 38.7% year-on-year, accounting for 82.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period, and 45 new models were listed, up 18.4% year-on-year, accounting for 90.0% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Third, the development of domestic smart phones

In February 2024, 14.042 million smartphones were shipped, down 31.3% year-on-year, accounting for 98.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period, and 19 new smartphone models were launched, down 26.9% year-on-year, accounting for 90.5% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to February 2024, 43.555 million smartphones were shipped, up 12.5% year-on-year, accounting for 94.6% of mobile phone shipments in the same period, and 36 new smartphone models were launched, down 5.3% year-on-year, accounting for 72.0% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
