First, the overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In July 2024, the domestic market shipped 24.204 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 30.5%, of which 20.654 million 5G mobile phones, an increase of 37.2% year-on-year, accounting for 85.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to July 2024, the domestic market shipped 171 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%, of which 145 million 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%, accounting for 84.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In July 2024, 29 new models of mobile phones were launched in China, a year-on-year decrease of 17.1%, of which 13 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 27.8%, accounting for 44.8% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to July 2024, 234 new models of domestic mobile phones were listed, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%, of which 122 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 18.4%, accounting for 52.1% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Second, the composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market

In July 2024, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 21.827 million units, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%, accounting for 90.2% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 28 new models were listed, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%, accounting for 96.6% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to July 2024, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 145 million units, a year-on-year increase of 19.9%, accounting for 84.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 220 new models were listed, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%, accounting for 94.0% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

Third, the development of domestic smart phones

In July 2024, smartphone shipments reached 22.174 million units, a year-on-year increase of 28.3%, accounting for 91.6% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 18 new smartphone models, a year-on-year decrease of 35.7%, accounting for 62.1% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to July 2024, smartphone shipments were 161 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%, accounting for 94.2% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 167 new smartphone models on the market, a year-on-year decrease of 16.9%, accounting for 71.4% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
