First, the overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In May 2024, 30.329 million mobile phones were shipped in the domestic market, a year-on-year increase of 16.5%, of which 25.531 million 5G mobile phones were shipped, a year-on-year increase of 26.6%, accounting for 84.2% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to May 2024, the domestic market shipped 122 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%, of which 102 million 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 20.3%, accounting for 83.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In May 2024, 49 new models of domestic mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 53.1%, including 27 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 145.5%, accounting for 55.1% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to May 2024, 179 new models of domestic mobile phones were listed, a year-on-year decrease of 1.1%, of which 98 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%, accounting for 54.7% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Second, the composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market

In May 2024, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 25.301 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%, accounting for 83.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 46 new models were listed, a year-on-year increase of 48.4%, accounting for 93.9% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to May 2024, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 102 million units, a year-on-year increase of 18.8%, accounting for 83.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 166 new models on the market, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%, accounting for 92.7% of the number of new mobile phone models on the market in the same period.

Third, the development of domestic smart phones

In May 2024, smartphone shipments reached 28.60 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.5%, accounting for 94.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 37 new smartphone models, a year-on-year increase of 37.0%, accounting for 75.5% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to May 2024, smartphone shipments were 115 million units, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%, accounting for 94.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 130 new smartphone models, a year-on-year decrease of 17.7%, accounting for 72.6% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
