First, the overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market
In May 2025, the domestic market shipped 23.716 million mobile phones, down 21.8% year-on-year, of which 21.190 million 5G mobile phones, down 17.0% year-on-year, accounting for 89.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
From January to May 2025, the domestic market shipped 118 million mobile phones, down 2.8% year-on-year, of which 102 million 5G mobile phones, down 0.1% year-on-year, accounting for 86.2% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In May 2025, 39 new models of domestic mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year decrease of 23.5%, of which 13 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 55.2%, accounting for 33.3% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
From January to May 2025, 202 new models of mobile phones were launched in China, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%, of which 95 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 11.2%, accounting for 47.0% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Second, the composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market
In May 2025, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 19.177 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 24.2%, accounting for 80.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 36 new models launched by domestic brands, a year-on-year decrease of 25.0%, accounting for 92.3% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
From January to May 2025, 101 million domestic brand mobile phones were shipped, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1%, accounting for 85.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 192 new models launched by domestic brands, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%, accounting for 95.0% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

Third, the development of domestic smart phones
In May 2025, smartphone shipments will be 22.526 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 21.2%, accounting for 95.0% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 27 new models of smartphones on the market, a year-on-year decrease of 30.8%, accounting for 69.2% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.
From January to May 2025, smartphone shipments will be 109 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.9%, accounting for 92.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 143 new smartphone models, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, accounting for 70.8% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
