1. Overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In May 2026, domestic smartphone shipments reached 27.639 million units, a year-on-year increase of 16.5%. Among them, 5G phones accounted for 26.224 million units, up 23.8% year-on-year, accounting for 94.9% of smartphone shipments during the same period.

From January to May 2026, domestic smartphone shipments totaled 114 million units, down 3.6% year-on-year. Of these, 5G phones accounted for 106 million units, up 4.2% year-on-year, accounting for 93.2% of total shipments during the same period.

In May 2026, 19 new domestic smartphone models were launched, down 51.3% year-on-year, including 11 5G phones, down 15.4% year-on-year, accounting for 57.9% of new models launched during the same period.

From January to May 2026, 157 new domestic smartphone models were launched, down 22.3% year-on-year. Of these, 96 were 5G phones, up 1.1% year-on-year, accounting for 61.1% of all new models launched during the same period.

2. Domestic and international brand composition in the domestic mobile phone market

In May 2026, domestic brand mobile phone shipments reached 23.97 million units, a year-on-year increase of 25.0%, accounting for 86.7% of the same period's total mobile phone shipments; 15 new models were launched by domestic brands, down 58.3% year-on-year, accounting for 78.9% of new models launched during the same period.

From January to May 2026, domestic brand mobile phone shipments totaled 95.33 million units, down 3.1% year-on-year, accounting for 86.1% of total mobile phone shipments during the same period; Domestic brands launched 145 new models, down 24.5% year-on-year, accounting for 92.4% of the total new models launched during the same period.

3. Domestic smartphone development

In May 2026, smartphone shipments reached 26.804 million units, a year-on-year increase of 19.0%, accounting for 97.0% of total smartphone shipments during the same period; 15 new smartphone models were launched, down 44.4% year-on-year, accounting for 78.9% of the new models launched during the same period.

From January to May 2026, smartphone shipments will reach 109 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 0.4%, accounting for 95.4% of total smartphone shipments during the same period; 130 new smartphone models were launched, down 9.1% year-on-year, accounting for 82.8% of the new models launched during the same period.
