First, the overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In November 2023, the domestic market shipped 31.211 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 34.3%, of which 27.092 million 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 51.2%, accounting for 86.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to November 2023, the overall shipments of mobile phones in the domestic market totaled 261 million units, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%, of which 215 million 5G mobile phones were shipped, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%, accounting for 82.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In November 2023, 30 new models of domestic mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year decrease of 30.2%, of which 19 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 26.9%, accounting for 63.3% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to November 2023, a total of 415 new models were listed, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%, of which 203 5G mobile phones were listed, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%, accounting for 48.9% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Second, the composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market

In November 2023, 25.442 million domestic brand mobile phones were shipped, up 26.5% year-on-year, accounting for 81.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period, and 24 new models were launched, down 35.1% year-on-year, accounting for 80.0% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to November 2023, the total number of domestic brand mobile phone shipments was 207 million units, basically the same as the same period last year, accounting for 79.2% of the mobile phone shipments in the same period, and the total number of new models on the market was 380, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%, accounting for 91.6% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Third, the development of domestic smart phones

In November 2023, smartphone shipments reached 29.856 million units, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%, accounting for 95.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period. From January to November 2023, smartphone shipments reached 250 million units, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%, accounting for 95.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In November 2023, 22 new smartphone models were launched, a year-on-year decrease of 40.5%, accounting for 73.3% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period. From January to November 2023, a total of 337 new smartphone models were launched, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%, accounting for 81.2% of the number of new models launched in the same period.
