First, the overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In October 2024, the domestic market shipped 29.674 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, of which 26.722 million 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, accounting for 90.1% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to October 2024, the domestic market shipped 250 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%, of which 214 million 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%, accounting for 85.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In October 2024, 37 new models of domestic mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year decrease of 26.0%, of which 22 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 29.0%, accounting for 59.5% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to October 2024, 353 new models of domestic mobile phones were listed, a year-on-year decrease of 8.3%, of which 186 were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, accounting for 52.7% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Second, the composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market

In October 2024, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 23.458 million units, a year-on-year increase of 30.2%, accounting for 79.1% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 37 new models were listed, a year-on-year decrease of 24.5%, accounting for 100% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

From January to October 2024, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 211 million units, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%, accounting for 84.6% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 331 new models were listed, a year-on-year decrease of 7.0%, accounting for 93.8% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

Third, the development of domestic smart phones

In October 2024, smartphone shipments were 27.884 million units, down 1.1% year-on-year, accounting for 94.0% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 29 new models of smartphones, a year-on-year decrease of 19.4%, accounting for 78.4% of the number of new models launched in the same period.

From January to October 2024, smartphone shipments were 234 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%, accounting for 93.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; There were 247 new smartphone models, down 21.6% year-on-year, accounting for 70.0% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
