1. The overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market

In October 2025, the domestic market shipped 32.267 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%, of which 29.326 million 5G mobile phones were shipped, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%, accounting for 90.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to October 2025, the domestic market will ship 252 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%, of which 217 million 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%, accounting for 86.0% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In October 2025, 45 new models of domestic mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, of which 19 5G mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year decrease of 26.9%, accounting for 42.2% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to October 2025, 443 new mobile phone models were launched in China, a year-on-year increase of 19.4%, of which 199 5G mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%, accounting for 44.9% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

2. The composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market

In October 2025, domestic brand mobile phone shipments will be 25.24 million units, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%, accounting for 78.2% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 43 new models were launched by domestic brands, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%, accounting for 95.6% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

From January to October 2025, domestic brand mobile phones were shipped, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, accounting for 86.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 421 new models were launched by domestic brands, an increase of 20.6% year-on-year, accounting for 95.0% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

3. The development of domestic smartphones

In October 2025, smartphone shipments were 31.356 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%, accounting for 97.2% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 26 new models of smartphones were launched, down 21.2% year-on-year, accounting for 57.8% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

From January to October 2025, smartphone shipments will be 233 million units, down 0.3% year-on-year, accounting for 92.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 285 new models of smartphones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, accounting for 64.3% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
