1. The overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market
In September 2025, mobile phone shipments in the domestic market will be 27.931 million units, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%, of which 5G mobile phones will be 24.106 million units, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%, accounting for 86.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
From January to September 2025, the domestic market shipped 220 million mobile phones, down 0.3% year-on-year, of which 187 million 5G mobile phones were shipped, a year-on-year increase of 0.1%, accounting for 85.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In September 2025, 47 new mobile phone models were launched in China, a year-on-year increase of 30.6%, of which 23 5G mobile phones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 64.3%, accounting for 48.9% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
From January to September 2025, 398 new mobile phone models were launched in China, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%, including 180 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, accounting for 45.2% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

2. The composition of domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market
In September 2025, domestic brand mobile phone shipments will be 23.644 million units, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%, accounting for 84.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 44 new models were launched by domestic brands, an increase of 25.7% year-on-year, accounting for 91.7% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.
From January to September 2025, domestic brand mobile phones were shipped, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%, accounting for 87.6% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 378 new models were launched by domestic brands, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%, accounting for 94.7% of the number of new mobile phone models launched in the same period.

3. The development of domestic smartphones
In September 2025, smartphone shipments were 25.617 million units, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%, accounting for 91.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 29 new models of smartphones were launched, a year-on-year increase of 52.6%, accounting for 61.7% of the number of new models launched in the same period.
From January to September 2025, smartphone shipments were 202 million units, down 2.1% year-on-year, accounting for 91.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; 259 new models of smartphones were launched, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year, accounting for 65.1% of the number of new models launched in the same period.
