40W Converged Fast Charging was unveiled, and the 2.0 standard led the industry change

UFCS 2.0 support the industry

On May 22, 2025, the "2025 Universal Converged Fast Charging (UFCS) Industry Development Conference" jointly sponsored by the China Communications Standards Association (CCSA), the Telecom Terminal Industry Association (TAF), and the Guangdong Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association (FCA) was held in Shenzhen. The conference injected new momentum into the high-quality development of the terminal fast charging industry from multiple dimensions such as the release of the UFCS 2.0 standard, the signing of a number of cooperation intentions, the commendation of advanced and applicable technology demonstration enterprises, the display of UFCS 240W ultra-fast charging pre-research products, and the sharing of industrial and technological development achievements. The successful convening of this conference marks a new stage in the construction of UFCS technical standards, industrial collaboration, and ecology.

Wen Ku, Chairman of CCSA, Shi Xiaoguang, Chairman of TAF, Wei Ran, Chief Engineer of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and Lu Bingsong, Chairman of FCA, delivered speeches successively.

In his speech, Wei Ran pointed out that at the national strategic level, UFCS standards are the key to the implementation of green and low-carbon development, and through the unified fast charging protocol, a green ecology will be built to help the "double carbon" goal; From a global perspective, the UFCS 2.0 version shows a technical route with Chinese characteristics, and its "hard compatibility + soft autonomy" mode provides a Chinese solution for the evolution of global fast charging standards. In terms of ecological reconstruction, fast charging technology has penetrated into industrial digitalization, explored a new paradigm through the "technology-standard-ecology" transition, and become a strategic fulcrum for new industrialization.

Huawei, OPPO, vivo, and Honor signed a letter of intent for UFCS mutual authorization, breaking down technical barriers. JD.com, Yuetu and other enterprises are actively expanding technology application scenarios and extending the ecological boundaries of fast charging. The UFCS2.0 standard was released at the conference, and with the innovative breakthrough of 40W non-authenticated power interconnection, it strongly promoted the upgrade from "single-device fast charging" to "all-scenario energy management".

This event has become a key node in the development of UFCS technology, highlighting China's wisdom, injecting strong momentum into the evolution of global fast charging technology, and illuminating the new future of all-scenario smart charging.
