R&S Webinar – Things About 5G mmWave Device Testing

Presentation of the conference

5G NR (New Radio Interface) is the first to use mmWave frequencies that provide large bandwidth. This frequency range (FR2), from 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz, enables reliable, high-data-rate transmission, especially in applications that require real-time, low-latency applications. Upgrades in bandwidth and configuration present new challenges for mobile device testing, requiring new testing methods. Highly integrated front-end and array antennas require advanced OTA test methods and new RF test metrics to evaluate current and future mobile communication systems. This includes standardized evaluation and validation methods under repeatable and real-world conditions to ensure that mobile devices are compliant with 3GPP standards.

This webinar will discuss the test challenges associated with the design of 5G mmWave devices. It also highlights how the CMX500 test platform from Rohde & Schwarz can be combined with a compact OTA chamber to ensure that 5G NR devices are 3GPP compliant.

You are welcome to follow and participate in this webinar.
