There are three modes (https://www.imda.gov.sg/-/media/imda/files/regulation-licensing-and-consultations/licensing/licenses/eqrguide.pdf?la=en) of certification:
- ESER (Enhanced Simplified Equipment Registration), which is suitable for low-power short-range communication equipment, including WLAN/BT, mainly submits SDoC, and does not need to pay certification fees;
- SER (Enhanced Simplified Equipment Registration), suitable for cellular devices;
- GER (General Equipment Registration), which is applicable to base station equipment and all other equipment. ESER and SER equipment can also be certified in accordance with GER. The GER model requires the submission of a report. IMDA-accredited laboratories in MRA countries, IMDA-accredited CBs in MRA countries, manufacturer's reports.
