On July 1, 2026, the Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) of India extended the relaxation policy for multiple tests on telecom equipment until December 31, 2026. The main measures include:

• ILAC Report: For 5G base stations, SIM cards, and VHF/UHF systems, ILAC reports from non-border countries with a date of no more than two years will be accepted;
• Test item exemption: General exemptions for technical parameters of Mobile Radio Trunking Systems, cellular repeaters, and DSL interfaces will remain valid;
• PON devices: Exempt protocol testing, applicants may use a "Self-Declaration of Conformity" for laser and power shutdown test items.
