On August 7, 2026, the Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) of India revoked the previous LAN Switch test exemption policy in MTCTE certification. Starting October 1, 2026, applications for MTCTE certification will be mandatory to submit reports covering testing projects including Ethernet PWE, MPLS TP, and TDM PWE testing.
