On July 14, 2026, the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) issued the "2024 Telecommunications Equipment Standards Regulations." The regulations clarify the scope of application and reference standards, covering multiple technical fields including electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), radio frequency (RF), satellite communications, terrestrial communications, mobile terminals, optical and laser safety, health and safety, and more.
