On July 21, 2026, the French National Frequency Agency (ANFR) reported the results of market supervision related to electromagnetic radiation (SAR) for 2025. ANFR inspected 80 mobile devices from 33 brands to verify compliance with European regulatory requirements. A total of 17 product models require corrective actions, including:
- Nine terminals had SAR values exceeding regulatory limits, including 8 for limb SAR issues (limit of 4 W/kg), and 1 for head SAR (limit of 2 W/kg);
- Eight terminals had administrative non-compliance, especially missing CE markings or missing or incomplete technical documents.
Corrective measures include issuing ANFR-verified software updates, withdrawing products from the market, and recalling sold devices.
