France: ANFR reports that the Motorola G05 has completed SAR compliance rectification through firmware upgrades

On October 12, 2026, the French National Frequency Agency (ANFR) issued a press release stating that the limb SAR of Motorola's G05 (XT 2523-3) smartphone did not comply with EU standards. The manufacturer had pushed a software update to reduce transmission power and complete rectification. ANFR commissioned an accredited laboratory to conduct SAR testing, and the original firmware version of the device had a measured limb SAR of 5.53 W/kg, exceeding the 4 W/kg regulatory threshold. Regulatory authorities legally notified Motorola to take measures, and Motorola chose to remotely push system updates. The new firmware version lowered this figure to 1.98 W/kg, which has passed ANFR verification.
