On September 15, 2026, the Communications and Multimedia Council of Malaysia (MCMC) solicited opinions on three revisions to 5G standards through the Technical Standards Forum (MTSFB), as detailed as follows:

• MCMC MTSFB T017:2026, IMT-2020 (5G) Base station;
• MCMC MTSFB T019:2026, IMT-2020 (5G) Cellular Direct Repeater Equipment;
• MCMC MTSFB T016:2026, IMT-2020 (5G) User Device.
