On November 18, 2025, the Nicaraguan Telecommunications Authority (TELCOR) published updated telecommunications equipment regulatory provisions in the 215th Government Gazette, with Article 9 being an exemption list. On September 11, 2026, TELCOR published details of the exemption list, which includes 22 categories of products including user terminal devices, audio broadcast receivers, computer peripherals, telecom network equipment, and short-range equipment, all exempt from type approval.
