On August 26, 2026, the National Telecommunications Commission of Honduras (CONATEL) adopted Resolution NR003/26, expanding the frequency framework for wireless access, mobile networks, and satellite systems. This spectrum update involves adjustments to equipment configuration and network authorization planning. The resolution was issued and came into effect on September 2, 2026.

This resolution updates the National Frequency Allocation Plan and revises the relevant frequency provisions in current regulations for wireless access systems and short-range equipment. The main changes are as follows:

• Expanding the 5925–6425 MHz band to 5925–7125 MHz for Wi-Fi 6e/7 ;
• It specifies that the 3300–3800 MHz band uses TDD (Time Division Duplex) mode for public mobile communications (IMT/5G), and adds "mobile (excluding air mobile)" allocation in the 3700–4200 MHz band;
• Satellite mobile services are allowed in the S-band (1990–2010 MHz uplink / 2180–2200 MHz downlink);
• In the 2500–2690MHz band originally used for public mobile communications (IMT/cellular mobile), dedicated mobile communication systems are permitted;
• In the 10.7–12.7 GHz, 17.3–18.6 GHz, and 19.7–20.2 GHz bands, traditional EPFD (Equivalent Power Flux Density) limits are relaxed, adopting link performance-based protection solutions to promote broadband low-Earth/non-geostationary orbit satellites.
