Canada: ISED launched a public consultation on RSS-133 and SRSP-510


On February 27, 2024, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) opened the following public consultations:

  • Radio Standards Specification, RSS-133, Issue 7, "Personal Communication Service Equipment Operating in the Bands 1850-1915 MHz and 1930-1995 MHz". The main revisions include the addition of the maximum transmit power requirements for fixed stations, base stations and terminals in Table 2, the addition of the total radiated power requirements for active antenna devices in Table 2 and the corresponding spurious emission requirements in Section 5.6, the removal of receiver spurious requirements already specified in RSS-Gen, and the removal of MEID and IMEI requirements that are no longer required.   • Standard Radio System Plan, SRSP-510, Issue 6, "Technical Requirements for Personal Communication Services in the Bands 1850-1915 MHz and 1930-1995 MHz". This revision mainly adds requirements for active antenna systems. Click this link to access the original advisory.
