The CAICT launched the 2024 collection of outstanding cases of end-side general intelligent innovation applications


At present, global artificial intelligence has entered a new round of development, and the development of general artificial intelligence technology with large-scale pre-trained models, agents, embodied intelligence, etc. has brought huge historical opportunities. With the breakthrough of model lightweight technology and the improvement of terminal computing power, general intelligent technology is accelerating its penetration from the cloud to the terminal side, and new models, new forms, and new hotspots are constantly emerging. In the early stage of the formation of the industrial ecology, in order to better promote the application and industrial development of China's end-side general artificial intelligence, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as "CAICT") and Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co., Ltd., the organizer of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference WAIC, launched the 2024 collection of excellent cases of end-side general intelligence innovation and application. Services and applications solicit successful cases and innovative practices, select benchmarking models, promote advanced experience, and promote industrial innovation and development.

The results of the case collection will be released at the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference "Theme Forum on the Innovative Application of End-side Large Models", and the relevant outstanding achievements will be compiled in the "2024 Excellent Cases of End-side General Intelligent Applications", and the field benchmark will be recommended to the 2024 WAIC World Artificial Intelligence Conference, and high-quality rights and interests such as on-site exhibitions, roadshow releases and resource docking, and simultaneous promotion and publicity on the official website and official WeChat.

The details of the solicitation are as follows:

Qualifications for the subject of the application

Applicants include relevant enterprises, universities, and research institutes engaged in the development of artificial intelligence applications, which have strong technological innovation and industrial application capabilities, and must operate normally and have no bad credit records.

Scope and content requirements

This event focuses on the collection of excellent cases of general intelligent applications on the device side, including typical cases such as algorithms and solutions, tools and service platforms, product applications, and industry empowerment

1. Algorithms and solutions: key technologies and application solutions for device-side model applications, such as device-side lightweight deployment of large models, device-cloud collaborative deployment and fusion applications, original innovative technologies of model algorithms, device-side chip computing power platforms, and operating system applications (fusion large models and agents).

2. Tools and service platforms: including training and development platforms, training data resource libraries, data processing platforms, model quantization and compression technologies, inference deployment frameworks and tools, model tuning tools, and other tools and platforms that implement model development, deployment, and operation and maintenance on the device side.

3. Product application: The application of large models and embodied intelligence in terminal products, including but not limited to mobile terminal applications (smart phones, intelligent twins, intelligent assistants, etc.), automotive applications (intelligent cockpits, autonomous driving solutions, etc.), (humanoid) robot applications (understanding interaction, task execution), etc., as well as wearable, home, office, education and other product applications.

4. Industry empowerment: For the fields of urban governance, environmental protection, energy and power, transportation, culture, sports and education, elderly and disabled assistance, emergency fire protection, finance and insurance, medical and health care, etc., the end-to-end model applications of related industry empowerment are solicited. (including but not limited to the identification, processing, distribution, storage, decision support and other applications of special image acquisition terminals and intelligent sensing equipment).

The content requirements are as follows:

(1)  The declared cases should be oriented to actual application and can form economic benefits or typical demonstration effects.

(2)  The application materials should be realistic, logical, and detailed, and should be free from false and exaggerated publicity.

(3)  The technologies, products, solutions and other achievements involved in the declared objects shall not involve state secrets or commercial secrets, and there shall be no infringement.

Organization of work

1. Case submission: The applicant should fill in the attachment "2024 Application Form for Excellent Cases of End-side General Intelligent Innovation Application" before May 30, 2024, complete the filling as required, scan the seal, and send the electronic version of the word version (without the chapter) and the PDF version (with the seal) to the mailbox zhoukuihan@caict.ac.cn mailbox (email subject format: abbreviation of the applicant unit - project name).

2. Case selection: The CTTL Terminal Labs of the CAICT will invite relevant industry experts to jointly set up a review team to evaluate and evaluate the core technology, key indicators, application effects, industry innovation and promotion value of the declared cases, and select the list of outstanding cases before the end of June 2024.

3. Achievement release: On July 5, 2024, it will be released at the theme forum of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, carry out case interpretation, issue certificates to the selected units, and promote platform resources.
