On July 21, 2026, the Korea Radio Research Agency (RRA) issued a notice confirming the completion of revisions to the conduction test method for KS X 3270 5G NR communication equipment. This revision makes significant changes to the 5G NR specification while maintaining the existing LTE band configuration. The updated notice expands 5G NR frequency support from two bands to six bands, adding bands n1, n3, n5, and n7. Additionally, 5G NR will now support both Time Division Duplex (TDD) and Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) communication modes, whereas previously only TDD was allowed.

The revised requirements will take effect on July 24, 2026.
