On November 30, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam issued Circular No. 41/2025/TT-BKHCN, introducing a new national technical standard for wireless access equipment in the 6GHz frequency band. The notice also issued the "National Technical Standard for Wireless Access Equipment in the 6GHz Frequency Band", officially numbered QCVN 136:2025/BKHCN. The new standard applies to specific telecommunications equipment and devices under HS code 8517.62.51, i.e. Wi-Fi receivers and transmitters (Wi-Fi modems, Wi-Fi transmitters) for wireless LAN networks in the 6 GHz band (5925 MHz to 6425 MHz).

The new standard QCVN 136:2025/BKHCN will replace the previous standard QCVN 47:2015/BTTTT and will come into force on January 1, 2027. Click on this link to view the original text of Circular No. 41/2025/TT-BKHCN.
