Niger: ARCEP Renewal Certification Procedure
Officially published at:2025-10-08On October 8, 2025, the Niger Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority (ARCEP) issued Decision 000011/ARCEP/CNRCEP/25, which sets out stricter submission, testing, and local representation requirements.
Main changes:
- According to Article 5 of the decision, two complete sets of samples must now be submitted;
- The application must be submitted by a local representative with a power of attorney from the manufacturer.
- ARCEP may request RF samples during the evaluation.
- Must be labeled before import;
- Previously approved devices remain valid.

Niger: The Ministry of Communications, Posts and Digital Economy has issued new type approval regulations that will affect the validity of certificates
Officially published at:2025-02-08On February 8, 2025, the Ministry of Communications, Posts and Digital Economy of Niger issued an announcement numbered No. 10 /MCP/EN/SG/DL, revising the original rules for type approval, with the main changes as follows:
- shortening the validity period of the certificate from 10 years to 3 years;
- The existing certificate will remain valid until its original expiration date;
- The new regulations will provide a 60-day transition period;
- The format of the new certificate will change; Additional details such as manufacturer, importer information and frequency range will be indicated;
- Regulatory Fee Schedule: The fee schedule has been revised to include application fees and sample testing fees, if applicable, in addition to technology-related approval fees.
